Tax time is a free income tax preparation program that primarily serves elderly, low income, and disabled individuals and families living in alamance county. Tax preparation is completed by community and student volunteers who share our belief in creating equitable access to services. The main goal of the program is to save families time and money to spend where it matters most. Last season, 720 individuals were served. Together, we're building pathways to financial confidence and security for all. Community council is our signature monthly meeting to unite various sectors to address critical needs, promote volunteerism, share resources and build relationships. Each month is a different theme and the programs vary from speakers, panel discussions, and networking activities. This program provides dedicated time each month for community leaders to deepen connections. All community council meetings are open to the public and we had nearly 450 attendees throughout the year.
