UNITED WAY OF PINAL COUNTY

Reading by 3rd grade program - provides children ages 0-5 years of age, with a focus on those living in rural pinal county areas, monthly books to improve their reading skills and overall love of reading.

Through united way's annual campaigns, uwpc raises funds to distribute to numerous services to the community, including ffn - family, friend & neighbor program (resources & training for at-home childcare providers), reading by 3rd grade initiative in partnership with dolly parton's imagination liabrary. Financial stability through rent or mortgage assistance, utility bills and free access to financial literacy and education. Transportation assistance (car repair & alternative transportation such as bikes) and disaster relief for families who have lost their home and belongings due to natural disasters. Path to success ged scholarship program covers the cost of ged testing. Skilled workforce program awards up to 3,000 of financial support towards a trade school degree or other certification. Included in these expenses are designations to various community non-profit organizations.
