In 2024, the dtl conducted 8,321,196 donor tests, ensuring the safety of its donated biological products. As part of versiti's mission to maintain the safest possible blood supply, donor testing operations conduct mandatory screening for transfusion-transmissible infections as required by fda regulations. The dtl utilizes state-of-the-art nucleic acid testing (nat) technology and serological methods to detect infectious agents.
