Program 1

$3.3M

Transitional housing/residential program:the residential program's unique approach revolves around the utilization of tiny homes in vcp villages as transitional housing. Vcp villages typically have 25-50 homes, depending on the size of the community in which it operates, and combines the tiny homes with customized and comprehensive wraparound case management services designed to get homeless veterans off the street and transition them to permanent housing. All case management activites are designed to provide lasting results in the areas of health and well-being; opportunity, education and training; money management; earnings and income stability; and support network.

Program 2

$1.7M

Expansion:the need to fix veteran homelessness is a widespread issue, with veterans sleeping on city streets and in city parks everywhere across the nation. This program starts by raising awareness of the need for transitional housing and wraparound services in communities across the country. As city officials in other communities come to understand how important the work is, vcp will team up with local governments and officials to determine the feasibility of the program in the respective communities. (continued on schedule o)expansion (continued):when vcp has determined a location is suitable and sustainable, it will: collaborate with local partners to secure the right location/land, raise funding to construct the tiny homes and village center, identify and plan for veteran outreach services, establish relationships with partner agencies, begin establishing a level of trust with homeless and/or near homeless veterans, hire and train local staff, and provided ongoing guidance and support. Together we will build a village to create the safe spaces that are essential for veterans to start rebuilding their lives. Together, we're making sure every veteran has a safe place to call home.
