VIRTUAL WORLD SOCIETY

Outreach activities at the Virtual World Society lead industry-wide conversations on the ethical and human-centered development deployment and adoption of emerging technologies. Through its Science and Ethics Council the Society facilitates sector- and region-specific initiatives and partnerships by convening round table events that provide a platform for diverse stakeholders to collaborate and share insights. It also provides expertise and guidance to the Community for Good supporting organizations and communities in creating real-world solutions for the responsible use of emerging technologies. In addition the Society generates informative research accessible content and trusted commentary while offering research and evaluation support to strengthen the impact of community initiatives.

The Nextant podcast examines the transformative potential of immersive technologies in advancing education fostering community and enhancing human connection. Hosted by Maxwell McGee the series features in-depth dialogues with leading innovators and thought leaders at the forefront of technology and social impact.

The Virtual World Societys Emerging Tech for Good Council builds strong collaborations and partnerships with key allies to amplify the efforts of communities and organizations leveraging cutting- edge technologies for social good. Through our Emerging Tech for Good Council the Virtual World Society: 1. Connects partner organizations other key industry stakeholders; 2. Provides mentorship technical oversight and strategic resources to partner agencies to accelerate project development and scaling; 3. Crowdsources solutions through the aggregation of similar social good organizations that utilize technology as a way to make resilient communities.
