Ranger support: a program to provide salary supplements, rations, medical costs, transportation, fuel and supplies for virunga national parkfs active ranger force. This includes the restructuring and strengthening the parks ranger force through the training of new rangers, facilitating the acquisition of service vehicles, equipment, and other supplies that help ensure the safety and security of the park, the rangers, and the local population. This program has two categories: core support: salary supplements, rations, health care coverage, transportation, communications equipment and defensive hardware.non-core: training equipment and support.
