Olympic national park funding: funds were used to support 14 projects at olympic national park including: (1) engaging tribal youth in co-development of native conservation corps program; (2) makah youth cultural monitoring to ensure archeological sites are documented and protected; (3) middle school science program; (4) funding to hire staff to process the backlog of archives; (5) aviation training for rangers; (6) night sky interpretation; (7) native plant nursery volunteer program; (8) adventures in your big backyard youth program; (9) elk monitoring using wildlife cameras; (10) upper elwha river restoration; (11) wilderness volunteer program; (12) providing housing for interns; (13) terminus glacier memorial artist-in-residence project; and, (14) research efforts to track changes to glaciers. Funding was also provided to restore the popular webcam placed at the hurrican ridge area after a fire destroyed the day lodge and to operate the kalaloch ranger station.

North cascades national park funding: funds were used to fund 12 projects at north cascades national park including: (1) the food sustainability project; (2) cascades butterfly project; (3) rare carnivore research; (4) bear education for visitors; (5) funding for backcountry interns stationed in the wilderness information center; (6) wildlife forensics laboratory analyses to inform park stewardship and management activities; (7) search and rescue trainings;(8) digitization of historic photographs to document wilderness impacts and revegetation efforts; (9) training for first responders; (10) a trailer for volunteers to carry equipment to work sites; (11) funding to purchase produce carts for park partner, the sauk-suiattle tribe; and, (12) a gis-based mapping tool, produced through a collaboration with a graduate student. Funding was also used to compensate tribal leaders for their time and travel expenses while training park staff.
