Program 1
$1.5MSoutheast Asia: Cambodia: With some of the most intact forests and marine ecosystems in Southeast Asia, Cambodia is a vital refuge for threatened species such as Asian elephants, gibbons, pangolins, sea turtles and marine mammals. Led by our Director Tuy Sereivathana, we collaborate with Government and community partners to conserve more than 2.7M acres of key habitat in ways that integrate cultural values and enrich local livelihoods.
Program 2
$645KAmericas: El Salvador: Hawksbill turtles are critically endangered globally, fewer than 700 females remain in the Eastern Pacific with 50% of these nesting in El Salvador. With partner ProCosta and a dedicated community network, we engage coastal residents and fishers to increase hawksbill nest protection, reduce turtle bycatch, and improve human well-being. Costa Rica: Together with the Latin America Sea Turtle (LAST) Association, we are protecting critical areas for sea turtles, particularly leatherbacks and hawksbills, along the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. Belize: With the largest remaining rainforest area north of the Amazon basin, Belizes tropical forests are critical for biodiversity and our global climate. Our Trees of Belize project, led by our botanist Steven Brewer, is building essential botanical skills, and creating tools for improved forest management. United States - Delaware: The Great Cypress Swamp is the largest remaining contiguous forest on the Delmarva Peninsula, providing habitat for migratory birds and other wildlife, mitigating climate change, and improving regional water quality. We work with land trust Delaware Wild Lands to restore this forested wetland with native tree species.
