$1KThe principal goal is to enhance the civic education, as well as education in science and career technical subjects, of students in grades k through 12. As used by the institute, the term "civic education" means education about the history, economy and goverment of the united states and all other countries around the world. The central focus of the institute is to develop a civic education curriculum for use in schools. The development of this curriculum is in progress. Once the curriculum has been developed, the institute will work to have it used in the public school educational programs. The institute is currently supporting other organization's efforts in civic education.
