Mission

1636 Heritage Partnership was founded in 2019 to raise funds for the preservation and restoration of the historic buildings owned by First Church of Christ Hartford. The two buildings are the Meeting House 1807 and Church House 1908. These buildings have always served the Greater Hartford community for non-religious gatherings including public meetings events and social service programs. We exist because there are organizations and individuals who cannot or prefer not to donate to a religious organization. Historic preservation projects are expensive and the organization provides funds as available and needed.
