1J Foundation

Cmt 1j is a newly identified subtype of cmt, caused by an itpr3 gene mutation. This neuromuscular disease causes widely variable symptoms ranging from mild walking difficulties to significant mobility and respiratory impairments. The 1j foundation seeks to find and support other families with cmt1j and raise money for a cure. Research for a treatment is currently underway for our specific variant.
