The mission of the 21st century consort is to present outstanding live performances of important new chamber music to dedicated and engaged audiences in the washington, d.c. Region, with ancillary educational activities; to commission works from diverse emerging and established american composers; to create a public recorded archive of every concert and to create studio recordings of significant contemporary compositions.
