Mission
The Colorado and Wyoming Network of Women Leaders (CWNWL) promotes the advancement of women in leadership roles in higher education through annual professional leadership development, high quality leadership training in higher education, and supportive networking and connections between and for higher education leaders. CWNWL's long history and programmatic success has achieved broad support from Colorado and Wyoming institutions of higher education. The Academic Management Institute (AMI) was organized by the CWNWL in 1986 as part of a charge from the American Council on Education (ACE) to increase the number of women who served as college and university presidents and to foster and encourage women's leadership development among institutions of higher education in the states of Colorado and Wyoming.
