Mission
The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of Internal Revenue Code section 501 (c) (3), including educational purposes. The purposes of this corporation shall include offering certificate programs and Associates of Occupational Studies (AOS) degrees in computer game development (both in 3D animation and programming), 3D animation for film, TV, visualization and associated industries. AIE - LA was formed to address the needs in Louisiana for a well-rounded vocational education resulting in a Certificate/Advanced Diploma and AOS in game software design, production and 3D animation that apply to video game development, and also the need for the establishment of standards and practices in the fields of video game quality assurance and video game production.

During the fiscal year, AIE - LA delivered 5 weeks of Summer Camps to high school students and 7 weeks of game industry introductory courses to persons interested in the school's programs. In Addition, AIE - LA in partnership with private industry made summer camps available to students entering grades 9 through 12 off-campus. Summer Camps and Short Courses are designed to provide a basic insight to those seeking knowledge in 3D animation and computer programing for video games. Camps and Short Courses are one week in length and promote school exposure to the community it serves and is an introduction to courses students will enjoy at the college level. Successful Summer Camps are important to the school's purpose and mission as they are often the first contact students have with the school and its staff.
