Lifebridge - a confidential physician wellness counseling program designed to address the seriousness of physician burnout in our community. Practicing medicine can be highly stressful and doctors face day-to-day challenges with emotional stress and work burnout. This can impact one's personal, practice or family life. Lifebridge was designed in conjunction with the florida board of medicine specifically to be a pre-clinical program that does not create a medical record. Physicians in duval county receive up to six free counseling sessions per year through the program. To-date, a total of 364 sessions have been provided to area physicians.

Fluvaxjax - a community campaign, led by the academy of medicine (dcms foundation), to increase flu vaccinations on the first coast. The primary goal is to minimize hospitalizations this flu season. Educating the public on flu vaccine benefits is a key part of our preventative strategy. In an average year, the first coast has about a 36.9% vaccination rate. During the 2020/2021 flu season, and the first year of fluvaxjax, the campaign helped increase the adult flu vaccination rate to 48.5% by the end of flu season. In total, the fluvaxjax campaign has distributed nearly 5,000 no-cost flu vaccine vouchers since the initiative began.
