The first steps early intervention program serves eligible children from birth to age 3, who exhibit a 25% delay in one or more areas of development, or have a known physical or mental condition which has a high probability of resulting in a developmental delay. Individualized family service plans (ifsp) are developed for necessary services and specialized therapies, as well as based upon family's priorities. Accessabilities team of licensed therapists and early education specialists provide services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, vision therapy, special instruction, nutrition therapy as well as additional strategies such as positive behavioral support, therapeutic listening, sensory integration, feeding and infant massage. The therapists and early education specialists work with the family in the child's home or in the location of the child's caregiver, using the child's natural environment as a learning platform. Early intervention services are provided in-person or by tele-intervention, upon request.
