Mission
To stimulate and expand the playing of chamber music for pleasure among musicians worldwide, of all backgrounds, ages and skill levels, by connecting people and supporting chamber music activities for individuals, groups, and institutions.
Programs
2 programs
Play-in, just-play and impresario grants support playing opportunities for adult amateur chamber musicians. While just-play and impresario grants support informal concerts, play-ins are public events where people of all ages and playing levels gather to play chamber music for pure pleasure. Play-ins are not performances, but some include non-playing listeners. Although professional chamber musicians may be involved as organizers or playing along, the program helps members of the public to become familiar with the pleasure of playing chamber music.
The home coaching program encourages musicians who meet regularly as a group to engage a professional coach in order to gain musical insight, develop efficient rehearsal skills and exchange musical ideas. Acmp provides up to 100% of the coach's fees. Ensemble members must be acpm members.
