Apple duathlon has been drawing local and world-class competitors to sartell, minnesota, since 1983. Held in may, the multi-sport event includes a long-course and a short-course duathlon (run-bike-run). A long-time national favorite, apple duathlon welcomes participants of all abilities and is one of only a handful of remaining duathlons in the united states.
Big lake graniteman is one of minnesota's favorite triathlons. Offering sprint and olympic distance triathlons in early august, the event is held at lakeside park, just 30 minutes from the twin cities and st. Cloud. Participants swim in the clean and clear waters of big lake, enjoy one of the flattest and fastest bike rides in the state, and enjoy a lakeside run that starts and finishes in the park.
Clearwater graniteman triathlon attracts participants from across the u.s. And canada. Held in late june, the triathlon in clearwater, minnesota, offers both sprint and olympic distances. Beginning at beautiful warner lake just minutes from i-94, it features a unique point-to-point sprint distance swim course, a bike ride through rolling country roads, and an out-and-back running course with paved and natural surfaces.
Buffalo graniteman triathlon is a central minnesota favorite. Held in early june, it offers both sprint and olympic distance triathlons. Beginning with a swim in buffalo lake, the course passes through downtown and follows winding country roads. Working in cooperation with local businesses and giving back to the community, the event welcomes participants from all over to visit and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
