Adagio health provides health and wellness services to women and their families.

Programs

Nutrition services, food supplements, and nutrition education are provided at no cost to wic eligible clients in armstrong, beaver, butler, indiana, and lawrence counties five days a week. Nutrition education is provided at no cost to students, adults, and seniors that qualify for the snap-ed program in allegheny, armstrong, beaver, butler, cambria, crawford, erie, fayette, greene, indiana, jefferson, lawrence, mercer, somerset, venango, washington, and westmoreland counties five days a week. Nutrition counseling is also provided as needed in the adagio health service provision area. Teaching kitchens operate daily in armstrong, beaver, butler, indiana, and lawernce counties for nutrition and culinary skills to be paired together at no cost. Food security initiatives operate across the adagio health service provision area to increase access to food for those experiencing food security. Additionally, the cdc's diabetes prevention program is offered at no-cost across the adagio health service provision area in an attempt to decrease individuals development of type 2 diabetes.

Tobacco free adagio health (tfah) is dedicated to preventing and reducing tobacco use and increasing education about tobacco hazards and secondhand smoke to individuals in western pennsylvania. Tfah provides free of cost cessation services and support to individuals of all ages ready to begin their quitting journey. Throughout the 24-county service area in fy2024, tfah provided cessation counseling to 739 clients, passed 92 tobacco-free policies in municipalities, schools, and worksites, recruited 2,438 students to join advocacy efforts through tobacco resistance unit (tru) groups in schools, conducted 4,308 act 112 enforcement checks to reduce the sale of tobacco products to youth, and facilitated 933 educational community presentations.
