Mission

Addie's place, the (cac) is a non-profit public organization dedicated to assisting children, adolescents and their families with trauma resulting from abuse, violence, or neglect. We provide medical examinations for forensic purposes, forensic interviews, counseling, and follow-up for the victims abuse. We actively advocate for children by working with law enforcement, the department of human resources, and prosecutors to pursue appropriate legal action against the perpetrators. In addition to these services for victims, the cac also provides education and training for professionals and area agencies on child abuse prevention, advocacy, and mandatory reporting. The cac provides a safe, child-friendly, neutral site for interviews, medical exams, and therapeutic counseling for child victims and their families at a single location.
