Camp Able of Buffalo Gap is dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs through therapeutic riding and inclusive skill-based programs.
Programs

Day Camp Program - Therapeutic horsemanship programs, including mounted and unmounted activities,primarily for individuals with special needs and military veterans. When needed, skills-based training activities are used to promote independence and executive functioning skills. The objective of day camps is to promote self-sufficiency, confidence, core balance, strength and enhance life skills.
Residential Camp Program- Two 4-day overnight camps for up to 12 special needs children and their families, totaling approximately 35-40 family members. The primary focus of these camps is therapeutic horsemanship and other activities designed to build life and social skills.
Training Program - This is an internal program to train and evaluate horses for inclusion in the therapeutic riding programs. All horses must learn the basics, including being haltered led and standing still. Additional and rigorous training to determine a horses fitness as a therapy horse is critical.
Therapeutic Horsemanship Special Events - These are half-day sessions that may be mounted or unmounted activities provided to special needs individuals and military veterans on weekend retreats.
