To improve lives by ending domestic violence.

SVP Services: AFFP provides one of only two county wide supervised visitation programs which provides a safe option for visitation between non-custodial parents and their children. Usually assigned by the courts, a child-friendly environment is provided for the families supervised by trained SVP staff. AFFP also provides safe and supervised exchanges between parents which prevents any emotional or physical contact between the two parties.

Housing: AFFP provides emergency safe housing in both counties and Independent Transitional Housing in Itasca County. Transitional housing provides temporary (up to 12 months) housing that includes support, guidance and anonymity for survivors of domestic violence after crisis.

Outreach: AFFP helps to raise public awareness through speaking engagements, information materials, collaborations with the schools and social service agencies and participation in a multitude of cultural, civic and social events.

Intervention: Provides the Intervention Program for Men who Batter in St. Louis County which includes 24 in-person group sessions led by trained facilitators following the "Creating a Process of Change for Men who Batter" curriculum. Works with County Probation on a successful completion of this program.
