Mission

AIS's mission is to provide immigration legal services and social services to aid survivors in accessing the rights to justice, dignity, and restoration. AIS's main programs are our Immigration Legal Services Program, our Case Management Program, and our Outreach and Education Program.

Programs

Case Management Program. Our Case Management Program supported survivors in reporting crimes or receiving updates on their abuser's criminal cases on 36 occasions. We provided holistic wellness services on 69 occasions. Additionally, 31 survivors received emergency financial assistance to help them meet urgent needs during times of crisis.

Outreach and Education Program. AIS provided informational trainings to Bay Area Turning Point, YMCA Trafficked Persons Assistance Program, ABA's ProBAR, Casa Mateo, and the Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council's Title IX Committee. AIS formed community partnerships, including Bay Area Turning Point, Houston Area Women's Center, the Crisis Center in Matagorda and Wharton Counties, and Casa Mateo.
