Mission
The Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival is an organization devoted to implementing and supporting the revitalization of indigenous California languages. Its mission is to assist California Indians in language maintenance and renewal.
Programs
2 programs
Family Language Program: An extension of the Master Apprentice program which supports families with approaches to language immersion and supports them with a mentor and training. In this tax year, we supported 9 families from Central California up to the Northern border.
Language is Life Gathering: This tax year we held this event at Santa Ynez and welcomed about 200 attendees over the course of the weekend for language workshops, youth activities, keynote speakers and cultural sharing.
