Energy - ahp provides outreach and assistance to low income homeowners applying for a nyserda home energy assessment and financing to complete home energy improvements. In conjunction with this, ahp manages a home repair program. Additionally, ahp is implementing a rooftop solar program for low income homeowners using program funds from nyserda. Ahp assisted over 75 households with energy efficiency projects during the year.

Community development - ahp has developed a revitalization plan for the sheridan hollow neighborhood surrounding its office on orange street. Planning work will be completed by ahp staff as well as subcontracted expert consultants. Ahp has supported the sheridan hollow neighborhood association as they have worked to bring local and state resources to this neighborhood where 45% of the households live below the poverty level. Ahp facilitated monthly neighborhood association meetings for feedback on the planning efforts coordinated by ahp.

Aclt - ahp shares staff and office space/equipment with the albany community land trust (aclt), an independent nonprofit organization that provides complementary housing development and property management programs. Ahp is the employer of record and is reimbursed by aclt for the cost of staff and overhead expenses.
