Mission
Ala's mission is to reduce economic, health, & housing disparities by enabling access to affordable housing & supportive health services for low-income seniors & individuals living with chronic physical & mental health conditions so that all can live to their potential.

Intensive case management services (icms): under a contract with la county, department of health services, ala provided on-site case management services to improve client health outcomes and housing stability. Over 90% of the clients serviced retained housing over 1 year and 100% of the 73 clients served received ongoing services aimed to support his/her health plan. Staff are trained to have a client-center approach that is sensitive to the challenges formerly homeless and individuals living with chronic mental and physical health conditions may have.
Shared housing: the county board of supervisors' affordable housing motion, called out 'shared housing' as a strategy that should be part of the county's overall plan to address the shortage of affordable housing. As such, the shared housing model has been endorsed by city staff working to create housing options for low, moderate-income and at-risk seniors. In addition, staff delivered ongoing support to existing matches to help participants resolve issues or find suitable alternatives.
