Emergency Food Assistance: APWEE provided 107 disadvantaged women in Laghman, Kabul, Kunar, and Nangarhar, Afghanistan with emergency food packages, including cooking oil, wheat, rice, pasta, beans, lentils, peas, green tea, salt, sugar, soap, and/or dishwashing liquid, among other things. Also, APWEE provided emergency food assistance, including cooking oil, flour, rice, beans, chickpeas, lentils, and milk to 30 disadvantaged women, including but not limited to widows, and their children, facing malnutrition, in the outskirts of Jalalabad, Nangarhar, Afghanistan.

Small Business Grants: APWEE issued a small business grant to a woman in Kabul, Afghanistan, who employs over 15 widowed and disabled women in her tailoring and handicrafts business, supplying solar panels and related equipment to power her sewing machines. This support was critical to the survival of her company and for the livelihood and wellbeing of her employees and their families.
