Net proceeds of those sales are distributed to participating hospitals that treat pediatric cancer and blood disorders patients. The community foundation of the chattahoochee valley coordinated distribution of this funding - $89,753 in 2022 - to the 53 hospitals receiving proceeds.
Child life & pediatric cancer grantstwelve (12) child life programs at healthcare organizations across the u.s. Received funding in september 2022 from the aflac childhood cancer foundation, inc. (accf) to support their work to reduce stress and anxiety for pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders and their siblings. The foundation awarded each with a child life grant of $2,500, bringing the total donated by the accf through this annual program to $115,000 since 2018. Grants support existing and new child life programs designed to address psychosocial needs of patients and siblings through education, comfort and play.
