ADP also continued the IPM project through Farmer Field Schools to address crop damage from pests and disease, a recurring challenge in drought-prone Bugesera District. By strengthening farmers' ability to adapt to changing conditions, the program improves yields, supports economic development, and contributes to community well-being.
In Uganda, ADP expanded its vocational training programs with the construction of a new classroom and the purchase of sewing machines. The tailoring program now offers a second year of advanced training, enabling Level 1 graduates to become professional tailors. In addition, ADP continued to provide cooperative members, students, and community members with training in computer literacy and entrepreneurship. In total, ADP trained 87 students through the vocational program in 2024, while in Rwanda, 40 students completed microbusiness development courses. These efforts reflect ADP's commitment to building skills that empower individuals, strengthen cooperatives, and foster long-term resilience.
