Mission
Plan, develop, fundraise, coordinate and oversee community-based humanitarian and development projects to improve the wellbeing of refugees, internally displaced persons, migrants and their local host communities in Africa. Deliver core life-saving medicine; medical services; food; shelter; subsistence assistance; maternal and newborn healthcare; emergency mental health interventions; and management of deadly, communicable diseases to contain outbreak in forced displacement situations.

AHA secured a grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation which provided life-saving support to emergency water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services and food assistance for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in El Fasher, North Darfur, Sudan. Activities supported by AHA's grant include daily water trucking in 13 settlement camps, reaching 22,332 people daily, and the distribution of cash vouchers for 200 vulnerable families.
