The specific purpose of this organization is to collect, preserve and share whatever relates to the history of african-american firefighters in the los angeles community and other parts of the usa from early 1800's to the present. This shall include the collection, preservation, interpretation, exhibition of and educational programs utilizing photographs, films, documents, records, literature, tools, equipment, uniforms, art and other artifacts and paraphernalia.
