The specific purpose of this corporation is to promote an understanding, appreciation, and awareness of african americans historically and culturally throughout the san joaquin valley. The museum will further serve as a vehicle for cultural enrichment, to inform the youth, and the general community of the role and importance of the historical and cultural contributions of african americans in fresno county.
