Provided low income housing and services to older adults in rural areas:1. Completed construction and opened 2 new affordable housing developments for low income older adults in rural areas using a modular approach. Began construction on a third development.2. Continued to grow circles of care program in rural wasco and hood river counties in oregon to address needs of older adults with various services such as transportation, yard work, grocery shopping, minor maintenance and repair, etc.
Increased awareness and support systems change that responds to oregon's changing age structure that is strengths based and equitable for older adults and their support networks:1. Produced annual ageless awards event to honor the significant contributions of older adults 75 and older.2. Provide technical expertise in the field of aging, the implications of our changing demographics, innovative solutions, and convene other subject matter experts through speaking and educational opportunities to community groups, local leaders, and providing testimony to the oregon legislature. 3. Continue to lead efforts to advance a multi-sector planning effort for aging in oregon.
