Agtech Innovation Alliance

In 2023, AgStart launched AgTech Nation, a collaborative nationwide network of AgriFoodTech entrepreneur-support organizations to better support and connect regional entrepreneurs to the mentors, connections and resources they need to succeed. Launched in 2023 using an award from the U.S. SBA, AgStart has continued to roll this program out in in 2024 and 2025, distributing funds to support other regional entrepreneur-support organization and impleenting training programs to educate their entrepreneurs.

Education and mentorship of innovators and entrepreneurs pursuing Agri Food innovation in AgStarts Greater-Sacramento region and beyond. Monthly meetups, mentoring sessions, in-person and virtual speaker sessions. Revenue includes membership fees, and services agreements with sponsoring organizations. Expenses include staffing costs and contractor expenses for subject-matter experts to mentor entrepreneurs and meetup expenses.
