Programs

The aiasf home tours program showcased innovative residential projects across the bay area, offering the public an inside look at contemporary design excellence and the creative process behind it. The 2024 home tours took place on september 21, 2024. Featuring a variety of architectural styles and neighborhoods, the tour fostered direct dialogue between architects, homeowners, and design enthusiasts, highlighting the impact of thoughtful design on everyday living and strengthening community appreciation for the built environment.
Small firms, great projects (sfgp) marked its 19th anniversary in 2024, showcasing the innovation, creativity, and craftsmanship of small architecture, landscape, interior, and lighting design firms across the bay area. Through its annual publication and celebratory pechakucha-style event, sfgp highlighted the vital role small firms play in shaping the built environment and fostering collaboration among architects, designers, and allied professionals--affirming that small practices can make a big impact.
Aiasf continues to provide robust professional development, networking, and public engagement opportunities through a wide range of programs, tours, lectures, and forums that connect architects, designers, and the broader community to the built environment. In 2024, the chapter returned to a full calendar of in-person and hybrid programming, led by 20 active knowledge communities hosting monthly meetings, continuing education sessions, and special events. More than 2,000 participants attended these programs, which offered aia learning units, leadership development, and industry insights to support members at all career stages.
