The american institute of architects is the leading professional membership association for licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners. The aia triangle section is the local voice of the architecture profession dedicated to serving 900+ members by expressing their commitment to excellence in design and improving the quality and livability of our built environment. The aia triangle section encompasses a ten county area, engaging members in wake, durham, orange, lee, chatham, franklin, warren, vance, granville, and person counties.

Aia triangle recognizes the value of design and the contributions our members make to the design and build communities at our annual membership meeting. Average attendance is 185 people.
Aia triangle hosts an annual design awards competition and ceremony celebrating excellence in design as juried by a respected architectural professional outside of the community. The multi-day program includes a lecture by the jury chair, reception, and awards ceremony. Average attendance is 150.
