Aid Africa

Water. Aid Africa provides communities in rural Uganda with clean water wells and sheltered springs that eliminate the need for women and children to walk long distances to fetch water from open springs that are often parasite-infested health hazards, shared with other animals.

Trees. Aid Africa distributes saplings of fruit trees and fast-growing trees for shade and branch harvest in rural Uganda. These trees provide nutrition, fuel for cooking, shelter from the sun, and sometimes a small income from selling surplus fruit.

Health. Aid Africa provides health information, including reproductive health and domestic abuse prevention, at stove and tree distributions, and collaborates with regional health officials to sponsor community health fairs which include immunizations, screenings and prevention education for malaria and AIDS, and health check-ups that may lead to referrals for treatment.
