AMOA employees or member representatives serve on committees and work in coordination with the US Helicopter Safety Team, Helicopter Association International and numerous government committees and task groups to advance safety of air medical transportation. AMOA monitors government and industry communications, meetings and hearings regarding air medical transport. AMOA provides comment and feedback on behalf of its members to agencies, associations, and media outlets on AMOA positions. AMOA hosts and administers a website to promote safety.

Expenses: $167K

AMOA established a Safety Committee to provide a forum for member representatives to collaborate on best safety practices for the industry. This collaboration leads to the adoption of new and improved safety practices such as safety management systems, risk assessment and management, and enhanced operations control. The Safety Committee promotes safety initiatives and collaboration throughout the helicopter community through leadership roles in safety initiatives within the larger rotorcraft industry.
