Mission

The airport minority advisory council educational & scholarship program, inc. ("amac foundation") is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 for the following purposes: (1) to provide scholarships for students to attend colleges and universities or other equivalent level educational programs in the field of aviation and airport management by making grants, distributions and providing other forms of assistance to individuals and other non-profit organizations in support of such purpose. (2) to prepare, promote, publish and distribute educational materials; conduct educational forums and seminars; conduct educational research and establish an educational data bank for interested members of the general public on air transportation, airports and airport facilities management. (3) to engage in any and all other lawful charitable activities incidental to, and in pursuit of, the foregoing purposes.

The celebrating women in aviation (cwia) breakfast is an annual event that highlights dynamic woman who have made great contributions in the aviation industry.

Amac foundation hosts project lift events throughout the year and during the annual amac airport business diversity conference. This forum-style mentoring session is held for students interested in fields related to aviation and aviation-related business. Project lift exposes students to potential careers, educational paths to success and provides networking opportunities with professional mentors to further students' academic development.

Offering scholarships; conducting educational forums, seminars, and research; and educating the future talent pool on air transportation, airports, airport operations and facilities management.
