To assist in the making of labor agreements respecting employment of employees by its members, to engage in and promote the settlement of labor disputes between its members and their employees or the labor organization that represents them, to cooperate with any labor organization in the administration of jointly administered trusts and plans and to foster and promote the interests of its members, to enlighten the public to the work and service that the general contracting industry provides for the good of the community.
