Mission
The alabama association of conservation districts (aacd) is the unified voice of alabama's 67 conservation districts. Organized as a 501(c)3, aacd works in cooperation with the alabama soil & water conservation committee, federal, state, and local governments, and other partners to support and provide services to conserve, enhance, and protect alabama's vast natural resources.
Programs

Delivery of technical program services and training statewide. Provision of and support for employee, volunteer, and landowner training for 67 soil & water conservation districts. Technical assistance and stakeholder involvement coordination for expanding conservation programs to assist with drought-resilience and invasive species management. Coordination of volunteer committees focused on urban conservation and best management practices for managing forestry and wildlife.
