Arcap community action agency, inc. Is committed to moving people from poverty to economic self-sufficiency through the provision of technical, informational, educational, and support services.

Emergency food assistance program (efap): efap is designed to reduce the number of families experiencing food insecurities in alamance county. Households experiencing emergency situations qualify for food assistance through efap. Households will receive emergency food which may include a three-day supply of non-perishable food items once every three months (90 days). Special dietary foods may be available upon request. During fiscal year 2024/2025 the efap program assisted 266 families for a total of 740 individuals.
