Workforce development: ahc supports member clinics by securing third-party trainings to improve clinical practice and support targeted interventions for special patient populations such as those living with hiv, long covid or other emergent needs. Ahc also facilitates partnerships with health profession, education and training programs to support hiring of community health workers, medical and dental assistants, and other clinic workforce to help clinics keep up with demand for services. For the year ending june 2024, ahc trained for the year ending june 2024, ahc trained 58 community health workers across our eight member community health centers.

Integrated behavioral health: ahc partners with alameda county behavioral health (acbh) to provide technical, administrative, and advocacy support to member community health centers' integrated behavioral health programs and initiatives. This includes providing support for 24 pediatric and integrated behavioral health care coordinators, and a school-based care coordinator. For the year ending june 2024, the pediatric care coordinators spent over 164,888 minutes with their pediatric patients, alleviating the time pediatricians would have otherwise spent on care coordination and navigation.
