Petting Zoos are a hands-on approach to introducing animals to young members to help them feel comfortable around a variety of animals while enriching their agricultural education. Petting zoos are also an effective marketing tool for spreading the mission of Alaska Youth Development Programs to younger community members who otherwise may not have the opportunity to interact with animals in a personal setting.
