Alaska Eating Disorders Alliance

Support: AKEDA offers regular support groups to promote recovery and offer support for Family and Friends supporting loved ones with eating disorders. In 2024, 64 people attended monthly Family and Friends support groups and there were 153 participants served through the weekly support groups.

Advocacy: akeda works on advocacy initiatives in our state and nationionally to promote equity in access to eating disorder treatment, funding for eating disorders research, and initiatives aimed at decreasing risk for development of eating disorders.
