Mission
ALN is a membership based non-profit organization. Its mission is to strengthen Alaskas libraries in order to provide the best library services possible to the residents of te Alaska. ALN provides services and programs offering resources and training opportunities.
Programs

SLED is a virtual library program that offers a range or resources for all age groups and delivers these resources via the internet to Alaskas students and residents.
The Alaska Digital Library provides a collection of ebooks and ejournals to a consortium of libraries in Alaska. The program is very popular with more than 1,000,000 checkouts last year.
Additional programs include archival programs for adding new content as well as scanning historical materials. ALN also managed a federal grant to support underrepresented students enrolled at San Jose State in the graduate library science program. Funding was provided for training and professional development
