Hospital Performance Improvements: Foster communications and cooperation between member providers and all other organizations and individuals, public or private, involved with the providing of health care; and do all things possible which may best promote health care as identified by a strategic plan approved by the governing board of directors within available financial resources.

Legislation and Policy Development: Promote and improve the member facilities as centers of health services for the people it serves; Support membership in providing health services and to advocate those programs and improvements that promote and encourage the enactment and promulgation of just and reasonable laws and regulations, improve the health status of the populations served and positively impact public access to health care.
