Asc golf tournament - on august 10, 2024, the alaskan scottish club held its annualtartan golf tournament at settlers bay golf course. The event brought friends, members and supporters together for a day of sport and fellowlship. Participants enjoyed a full round of golf while wearing tartan to celebrate scottish tradition in a fun and engaging wat. The tournament fostered community spiritand provided an opportunity for cultural connection and helped raise funds to support the club's mission of perserving and promoting scottish heritage in alaska.
Burns night - on january 27, 2024 the alaskan scottish club hosted its annual burns night celebration in anchorage ak. The event honors the life and works of scottish poet robert burns and promotes scottish heritage in the community. The evening included traditional elements such as the piping in of the haggis, recitation of burns poetry, toasts , scottish music and dancing. Approximately 110 members and guests attended representing a diversecross section of the local community. The event provided cultural education, fellowship, and an opportunity to preserve and celebrate scottish traditions in alaska.
