Albany Convention & Visitors Association

Promotion of local historic resources serving as a liaison between historic-related groups in the community and the public; acts as a resource for the public with respect to historic districts, events and architecture; and assits with the event planning, event marketing and site promotion.

Operates the official albany visitor center at 3rd & lyon st, with good traffic flow and easy for visitors to find right on hwy 20, the santiam rest area kiosk on i-5 serving hot coffee and providing travel information, mini kiosks at lodging facilities, expo center, albany train station, albany downtown association and historic carousel & museum with information about albany and linn county. Moved the official albany visitor center to 122 ferry sw. Expenses directly associated with the move included accessible door installatiom, plumbing and elctrical, moving expense, painting, display installation and signage.
