Kamp kappa is a one-week, outdoor, overnight, experience that affords (50) young men from the inner-city, between the ages of 8-16, with an authentic camping experience. During the week, the campers sleep in tents, under sleeping bags, and are awaken at 6 am each morning by the voices of camp counselors and the director. The campers forfeit access to/use of all electronic devices and instead participate in a multitude of seminars and outdoor activities such as: first aid, hygiene, hiking, canoeing, archery, rock climbing, and swimming. The highlight of the week is a program referred to as the "street law seminar," where campers will engage in a complete "mock trial" under the guidance of a former federal judge. This program exposes the campers to the nuances of both the legal and criminal justice system.

Beautillion - is a "rite of passage" program that formally acknowledges and honors each "beau's" matriculation into young adulthood. The beautillion is held to recognize each young man's (beau) "coming-of-age" to society, and includes a public presentation of each beau via a formal announcement of their arrival, a choregraphed performance for attendees, as well as a formal dinner held in their honor. The objective is to promote scholarship, inter-personal and professional development, and independence. Each beau receives a minimum of $1,000 dollars in scholarships.
